Our first benchmark testing window is approaching:

Our teachers and support staff use benchmark results to plan instruction and provide students with the support they need. Families can help students prepare by ensuring they:
- Arrive at school on time and well before the 8:15 a.m. tardy bell
- Get a good night’s rest before each assessment
- Eat a healthy breakfast at home or school
- Bring a comfortable pair of wired headphones to school
All students may use the read-aloud feature on the math and science assessments, making wired headphones especially important.
Results will be shared with families through ParentSquare after the testing window is complete. Thank you for helping our Bobcats feel prepared and ready to show what they know!

We are excited to invite you to join our Sunrise Readers program, a morning initiative designed to give our students extra time and support as they build confidence in their reading skills.
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to spend 30 minutes reading one-on-one with students from 7:45 to 8:15 AM, Monday through Friday.

Flexible Scheduling: Whether you can join us every day or just one or two mornings a week, your time will make a meaningful impact.

Convenient for Morning Drop-Off: If you are already dropping off a walker or car rider and have a few extra minutes before work or daily errands, this is a quick and rewarding way to get involved.
Your presence and encouragement can help instill a lifelong love of reading in our young learners.

The safety and security of our students is our highest priority. To ensure every child leaves campus with an authorized adult, all individuals picking up a student must present a valid physical driver’s license or government-issued photo ID upon arrival.
This policy applies to everyone—including parents, guardians, and any emergency contacts listed on your child's profile—even if our staff recognizes you.

Bring your ID every time: Please have your physical ID ready in hand when arriving at the main office or pickup line. Digital photos of IDs cannot be accepted.

Update your contact list: Ensure anyone you delegate to pick up your child is officially listed on their emergency contact form and knows to bring their ID.

Dear Families,
This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Forgiveness. Forgiveness means letting go of anger toward those who have done wrong and accepting that people make mistakes.
When we forgive, we can move past being hurt and make peace with what happened. Forgiveness heals and strengthens our relationships. It doesn’t erase what happened, but it helps us let go of the hurt and move forward.
Seeking forgiveness shows that a person values relationships and understands the impact of their actions. It shows humility, accountability, and a willingness to make amends. By seeking forgiveness, a person shows they care about resolving conflicts and restoring trust. It also shows emotional maturity and a commitment to personal growth.
To practice and encourage forgiveness at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Unrestricted social media and open online spaces are designed for older audiences, offering content and algorithmic feedback that can easily overwhelm a developing child's self-regulation skills.

Use "Digital Training Wheels": The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends treating tech like riding a bike—start with high supervision, parent-managed accounts, and strict privacy settings in shared family spaces.

Protect the Core Three: Prioritize uninterrupted sleep, active outdoor play, and face-to-face family time. Keeping devices out of bedrooms overnight safeguards your child's growth and focus.

Bobcat of the Month: Keymya Richardson (3rd grade teacher)

Ms. Richardson brings joy and laughter to every room she is in whether it is a room full of adults or a room full of children. When you enter her classroom, students are thinking hard- either engaged in conversations about the book open in front of them or silently scribbling their math work on their whiteboards ready to share with their partner. She is extremely reflective and always listening to strategies her amazing teammates are using, resulting in her being an even better teacher each time I enter her room.

Brave Bobcat of the Month: Officer Matthew Watson (School Resource Officer)

Officer Watson has been a warm and welcome addition to our RBM family! He has shown true Bobcat bravery as he embraces his new role and works each day to keep our school safe. Whether he is completing safety checks, delivering forgotten lunchboxes, or giving students high-fives in the hallway, he never misses an opportunity to build meaningful connections with our staff, students, and families. Most recently, Officer Watson gave his personal time to paint our school spirit rock in celebration of a special front office staff member’s birthday. In a short time, he has truly become a Bobcat favorite throughout our school community!
