I am the proud principal at R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary!  I have been an educator in the public school arena for 18 years and joined the RBM STEM Bobcats in 2020.  Before joining Cabarrus County Schools, I worked in both Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Union County Public Schools.  I served as the principal at Matthews Elementary (2014-2020) and  Weddington Elementary (2011-2014), as assistant principal at Waxhaw Elementary (2009-2011) and as assistant principal, reading specialist, and teacher at Benton Heights Elementary School of the Arts (2003-2009).

My education began here in Cabarrus County, where I was born and raised.  I later received undergraduate degrees in elementary education and reading education from Wingate University.  I have also completed my master's degree in educational leadership at Winthrop University. Together my wonderful husband, Matthew, and I are raising our two most precious blessings, our sons.  Both of our boys attend Cabarrus County Schools. Jaxson is in high school and Malachi is in middle school.  In my time away from school, much of our family time is spent serving at our church, reading and running together, and making memories with our close-knit family!

As a teacher and a leader, I have always felt strongly that, given the time and opportunity, all students can succeed.  Because of this deep-seated belief, I will work to make sure that the needs of all students are met starting year #1 in our new school! This year at R. Brown we will have a winning year by focusing on World-class teaching and learning that Optimizes engagement and Nurtures student and staff wellness!

I look forward to working with the entire Bobcat community. Thank you for choosing Cabarrus County Schools and R. Brown McAllister STEM Elementary.

I am Mrs. Tiffany Nickel, and I am thrilled to serve as an assistant principal with the amazing Bobcat team. With several years of experience as an assistant principal, all with the Bobcat family, I bring a deep passion for education and a commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment. This role builds on over a decade of classroom teaching experience and several years at the district office level. Outside of my professional life, I am blessed with a wonderful husband and two energetic sons who keep me on my toes. I look forward to continuing to contribute to our school's success and supporting our students, staff, and community.

 Elizabeth Schriver, Assistant Principal

Ms. Scheiver

Hi Bobcats! I am Mrs. Elizabeth (Liz) Schriver and am honored to serve the R Brown McAllister family as one of your assistant principals. After graduating from Penn State University (go Nittany Lions!), I began my teaching career in 2008 teaching fifth grade in Baltimore, Maryland. I moved to North Carolina in 2009 where I taught in New Bern and China Grove until joining Cabarrus County School in 2015 as a third-grade teacher at Odell Elementary. I most recently served as Odell Primary's MTSS Coach for the last three years and earned my master's in school administration from Gardner-Webb University. I live in Kannapolis with my husband, 2 children, and 3 dogs. I am excited to become a part of the R Brown McAllister STEM family and get to know our students and families. Please reach out if there is anything I can help you with!
