safety and security

Safety and Security

The safety and security of our students is our highest priority. To ensure every child leaves campus with an authorized adult, all individuals picking up a student must present a valid physical driver’s license or government-issued photo ID upon arrival.
This policy applies to everyone—including parents, guardians, and any emergency contacts listed on your child's profile—even if our staff recognizes you.
  • Bring your ID every time: Please have your physical ID ready in hand when arriving at the main office or pickup line. Digital photos of IDs cannot be accepted.
  • Update your contact list: Ensure anyone you delegate to pick up your child is officially listed on their emergency contact form and knows to bring their ID.
  • Plan for extra time: Verifying IDs may take an extra moment. We appreciate your patience as we double-check for safety.
Thank you for your partnership and cooperation in keeping our school community safe!

Positivity Project

Dear Families,

This week, our school is focusing on the character strength of Teamwork. Teamwork means working well with others as part of a group. It involves being loyal, reliable, and dedicated to helping your team reach its goals.

People who are strong in teamwork desire to help all group members succeed, committing time and resources to the group's shared goals. Sometimes, this means setting aside personal achievements to ensure the team does well as a whole. By doing this, they create positive feelings and help form a strong bond among group members.

Being a good teammate benefits everyone. When students work together, they feel proud of being part of something bigger than themselves.

To practice and encourage the character strength of teamwork at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Thank you for your support!

AI Safety

Quick Tech and AI Safety

Move Before You Media: The Physical-First Warm-Up!
Research shows that passive screen time immediately after school can leave a developing nervous system feeling sluggish yet overstimulated. Pairing tech time with prior physical movement—like 15 minutes of outdoor play or jumping rope—delivers oxygen to the brain, regulates executive function, and sets the stage for healthy screen habits!
