RBM Vex Robotics Teams

Congratulations to our RBM Vex Robotics Teams for completing a successful competition season!

Vex IQ showcases the power of collaboration, innovation, and teamwork. Students had to engineer their own robot, strategize how to score points in the game, practice driving and controlling their bot, and coding their bot to run the game autonomously. Our students stepped up as leaders and team players, showing responsibility, problem-solving skills, and perseverance throughout the season. One team was even recognized with the Judges' Award for their collaboration, good sportsmanship, and positive attitudes during our most recent competition.

Mrs. Paisley and Ms. Cauble would like to thank the staff members and families who supported our Vex Program and helped to make this year ROCK!

The Positivity Project Family Newsletter

The Positivity Project Family Newsletter

Dear Families,

This week, our school community will focus on the character strength of Prudence. Prudence means you plan for the future and achieve your goals by making careful everyday choices.

Prudence is about doing the right thing at the right time for the right reasons. It's a way of thinking ahead, setting goals, making plans, and having the discipline to follow through. It’s more about using your head than your heart.

Prudence helps with managing yourself effectively. Whether aiming for a sports record, getting good grades, or saving for something special, you need to plan ahead and stay focused. Even with a plan, you must resist temptations that might distract you. Prudence gives you the wisdom to use the right strengths at the right time to achieve your goals.

To practice and encourage the character strength of prudence at home, please visit The Positivity Project’s mobile-friendly P2 for Families (available in English and Spanish), where you will watch a video together and discuss a quote and three questions. Below are links to this week’s P2 for Families lessons. Click on the grade level that best meets your child’s needs.

Thank you for your support!

Photo of Ms. Hunter

🐾 Brave Bobcat of the Month

Ms. Hunter goes above and beyond to help students master challenging 5th-grade math, including multiplication, partial quotients, fractions-as-division, partitive division, and quotative division skills. She eagerly learns the material, meets during her spare time to learn the content, and keeps detailed records of progress and work completion. Students love working with her and often request to be in her group. Her dedication, skill, and passion make her an invaluable part of our school community.

🐾 Bobcat of the Month

Mrs. Francis has shown amazing dedication to our students as they created art to be showcased for our families. She has put in endless extra hours and shown so much love for our students, making sure that they all had 2 pieces of art for the art show. I admire her dedication, and believe that she went above and beyond for this art show. She is an amazing art teacher, and shows it every single day. Our kids love art class with Mrs. Francis!!
