Welcome to the R. Brown McAllister
Kelley O’Neil, MLS
This is my tenth year as a school media coordinator and my first year in Cabarrus County. I look forward to meeting students and families and know that this will be a great first year for me at RBM STEM!
So far this year we have hit 4,194 book checkouts! Students have also been utilizing SORA and EPIC to access ebooks. We have completed lessons on Digital Citizenship, done some STEM building, and learned how to access and search our catalog Destiny. I’m looking forward to more exploring and learning with our students!
Click the box to access our library catalog and Destiny Discover. You will be able to search, but in order to put books on hold you will need to login with your username and password.
We will meet every other Tuesday morning from 7:45-8:15. Once we get closer to the competition date we will begin to meet weekly. Please see below for any date changes.

There must be a parent/guardian with each student for the whole competition, no drop-offs allowed.
VEX IQ Robotics Competition Full Volume is played on a 6’ x 8’ rectangular field configured as seen above. Two robots compete in the Teamwork Challenge as an alliance in 60 second long teamwork matches, working collaboratively to score points.
Teams also compete in the Robot Skills Challenge where one robot takes the field to score as many points as possible. These matches consist of Driving Skills Matches, which will be entirely driver controlled, and Autonomous Coding Skills Matches, which will be autonomous with limited human interaction.
